Sansevieria
Plant cruelty, laziness & a cheap way to propagate by mega-grower.
Placed in an eye-catching ceramic pot, but disregard the health of the plant.
Buyers take these home or give as gifts, many never thinking about repotting.
A month later, they have a cute ceramic pot and a dead plant.
(Offending grower: Plainviewgrowers - purchased at local Giant Supermarket.)
REPOTTING
GOING BACK TO SUPERMARKET NOW TO RESCUE WHATEVER SANSEVIERIA ARE STILL SITTING IN THOSE HORRID DEATH POTS.
Went back to Giant and took the last two that were left. Stopped by Customer Service, to show them photos of the "death pots".
Only wanted someone to post a sign by the plants, advising customers to repot immediately upon taking home.
The lovely young woman at the main desk, who assisted me, sincerely understood the problem and told me to take the two little rescues with no charge. Certainly was not expecting that, but very much appreciated the gesture and now the two little guys are home.
